Quality and HSE Requirements for Suppliers

  1. GENERAL CONDITIONS

In addition to the requirements set forth in the contract, the CONTRACTOR shall comply with the following requirements:

• Comply with all applicable laws, decrees, ordinances, Occupational Health and Safety Regulatory Standards, administrative instructions, resolutions, and other legal instruments governing environmental protection, occupational health, and safety at the federal, state, and municipal levels;

• Comply with SONDOTÉCNICA’s policies and procedures applicable to the contract, which shall be provided by the CONTRACTING PARTY.

1.1 CONTRACTOR OBLIGATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

By entering into a contract with SONDOTÉCNICA, the CONTRACTOR agrees to fully comply with the requirements set forth herein, as well as with all applicable regulations and work procedures relating to Quality, Environment, Occupational Health, and Safety, and shall allow full inspection and oversight by SONDOTÉCNICA’s authorized representatives.

The CONTRACTOR is responsible for the actions of its employees and for any civil or criminal consequences resulting from failure to comply with environmental, occupational health, and safety laws, regulations, and standards in effect in the country.

Claims by the CONTRACTOR that it was unaware of applicable Quality, Environmental, Occupational Health, or Safety requirements will not be accepted.

All work and services must be properly planned to proactively ensure the safe execution of activities.

2. SPECIFIC CONDITIONS

2.1 LEGAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

The CONTRACTOR is responsible for identifying all legal and other requirements applicable to its activities that are not addressed in these Guidelines. This information must be kept up to date throughout the entire term of the contract.

2.2 IDENTIFICATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS/IMPACTS AND HAZARDS/RISKS

When requested by the CONTRACTING PARTY, the CONTRACTOR shall conduct an assessment of the environmental aspects and impacts, as well as the hazards and risks associated with the activities performed by the company. The purpose of this assessment is to identify potential risk scenarios and establish an action plan to address impacts considered significant.

The CONTRACTOR shall ensure that its employees are fully informed of the environmental aspects and impacts and the hazards and risks inherent in their activities, as well as the measures established to control them.

2.3 INTERNAL COMMISSION FOR ACCIDENT PREVENTION — CIPA

The CONTRACTOR shall comply with the requirements of NR-6.

2.4 PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT — PPE

The CONTRACTOR is responsible for providing its employees, at no cost, with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to safely perform their activities and shall maintain sufficient inventory to ensure continuity of the services. All PPE must be approved by the Brazilian Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE) and comply with applicable legal requirements.

The CONTRACTOR shall provide all employees with appropriate workwear displaying the company’s logo or name in a clearly visible location. The type and quantity of workwear provided must be appropriate for the services to be performed, with a minimum of two sets per employee.

The CONTRACTOR shall use equipment that is appropriate for the contracted services.

3. ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS

When carrying out this procedure, the following environmental aspects must be considered:

• Solid waste generated;
• Liquid effluent discharges;
• Air emissions.

Operational controls must be established for all identified environmental aspects.

4. OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS

When carrying out this procedure, occupational health and safety impacts must be considered with the objective of preventing and/or minimizing risks, including: Physical, chemical, and biological hazards; Ergonomic factors; Accident risks; and Preventive measures such as job hazard analysis, training, and the use of personal and collective protective equipment.

5. CONTRACTOR PERFORMANCE

The CONTRACTING PARTY maintains criteria for monitoring the CONTRACTOR’s performance based on its ability to provide products and services in accordance with the requirements established in the contract. Records of these evaluations are maintained. The CONTRACTOR will be notified in the event of unsatisfactory performance.
